O novo disco do Michael Franks (Time Together) parece um velho disco do Michael Franks. A mesma atmosfera doce e relaxada, o fascínio pelas viagens, a literatura, os romances vividos em paragens quase sempre exóticas e distantes.

Michael Franks teve sempre o cuidado de se fazer acompanhar por excelentes músicos, em particular durante os anos 80/90, altura em que a sua imagem de marca smooth groove se tornou cada vez mais sofisticada - por vezes a arriscar confundir-se com smooth jazz.

Agora que o Verão chegou, Michael Franks juntou o mesmo bom gosto que cultiva há quase 40 (!) anos com novos e velhos músicos, todos eles “tubarões” de renome - Gil Goldstein, Chuck Loeb, Till Bronner, Jerry Marotta, Mike Mainieri, Eric Marienthal, Mark Egan, David Spinozza, Alex Sipiagin, Billy Kilson, Romero Lubambo.
